Gecko waterlab installation
Last updated 4 months ago
Overview
If your spa uses the in.touch 3+ system, this step guides you through unpacking and installing the Gecko waterlab probe. The waterlab probe measures your spa’s water quality (pH, sanitizer levels, and temperature) and sends that data to the Gecko App.
Follow these instructions carefully to ensure accurate readings and long-term reliability.
Unpacking the probe
Important notice
The probe may be damaged by freezing temperatures (below 0 °C / 32 °F).
Avoid exposing the probe to air for more than 15 minutes.
Instructions
Hold the probe vertically.
Gently unscrew the bottom part of the storage bottle.
Keep the liquid inside the storage bottle — you’ll need it if you ever store the probe again.
After removing the probe, screw the cap back onto the storage bottle to keep it sealed.
⚠️ Proper sealing prevents leaks and keeps the probe in good condition for reuse or transport.
Preparing the probe
To maintain sensor accuracy:
Always keep the probe above 0 °C (32 °F).
Limit air exposure to less than 15 minutes before installation.
Never leave the probe out of liquid for more than 15 minutes.
💡 Tip: Have the spa and chamber ready before unsealing the probe so installation can be completed quickly.
Installing the probe
Important notice
Avoid using tools or applying excessive force — overtightening may damage the probe or its chamber.
Instructions
Carefully hand-screw the probe into the top of the waterlab chamber.
Turn it gently until snug — do not over-tighten.
Ensure the probe is upright and secure, but still removable by hand if needed.
Connect the proble cable to the in.touch 3+.
Best practices
Keep the probe cable free of twists or sharp bends.
If you remove the probe later, store it in the original storage bottle with its protective liquid.
