How to change your spa type

Overview

In the Gecko App, you can specify whether your installation is a Spa or a Swim Spa / Endless Pool. Setting the correct type helps the app provide accurate water care recommendations based on your spa’s size and operation.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the side menu (☰)
    Tap the Menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

  2. Go to Settings → General
    From the side menu, select Settings, then tap the General tab.

  3. Tap “Edit” in the General section
    Under the General card, tap EDIT to enter edit mode.

  4. Select your spa type
    In the Type section, choose one of the following:

    • Spa → Typically used for smaller hot tubs (up to about 2,300 liters or 600 gallons).

    • Swim Spa or Endless Pool → Used for larger installations (typically above 2,300 liters or 600 gallons).

  5. Tap “Save”
    When you’re done, tap SAVE in the top-right corner to confirm your changes.
    The app will now adjust its calculations and features based on your selected type.
