Probe acclimation for Gecko waterlab

Last updated 4 months ago

Overview

The Gecko waterlab probe needs time to acclimate to your spa water before its readings become accurate. This short hydration period ensures the sensors deliver reliable measurements for your water quality.

What to expect

Most of the time, simply placing the probe in your spa water allows it to acclimate within about 30 minutes. During this time, the sensors hydrate and begin to stabilize.

Occasionally, due to shipping or storage conditions, a probe may require more time to fully rehydrate.

  • Most sensors acclimate within 24 hours.

  • In rare cases, it can take up to 72 hours for readings to become fully accurate.

⚠️ Notice: If your readings seem inconsistent during the first few hours, this is normal and should resolve as the probe finishes acclimating.
