Overview

The Gecko App Test Strip Scanner supports a selection of compatible spa and pool water test strips.

Using a supported strip allows the app to:

  • Automatically detect water readings from a photo

  • Generate water reports

  • Provide water care recommendations

⚠️ Only supported test strips can be scanned successfully by the app.

How to choose your strip in the app

When starting a water test:

  1. Open the Water page

  2. Tap Test Your Water

  3. Select your test strip product from the supported list

  4. Follow the on-screen scanning instructions

💡 Tip: Selecting the correct strip model is important for accurate results.

If your strip is not listed

If your test strip brand or model does not appear in the app:

  • The scanner may not recognize the colors correctly

  • Automatic scanning may produce inaccurate readings

You can still:

  • Enter your readings manually

  • Use a supported strip for automatic scanning

Important notes

  • Supported strips may vary depending on app version

  • Additional test strips may be added in future updates

  • For best results, always compare scanned values with the color chart on your strip bottle before confirming results
