How to change the RF channel of your in.touch 3

Last updated 4 months ago

Overview

Your in.touch 3 system uses a radio frequency (RF) connection to communicate between the EN (Home) and CO (Spa) modules. In some environments, nearby wireless devices (like Wi-Fi routers, smart home systems, or other RF equipment) can cause interference. If you experience unstable communication or weak RF strength, you can change the RF channel directly in the Gecko App to improve signal quality.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Gecko App
Launch the app on your smartphone or tablet.

  2. Tap the Menu icon (☰)
Located in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Go to Settings → Devices
From the list, select Settings, then tap Devices to view connected modules.

  4. Find the in.touch 3 section
You’ll see details for both your in.touch 3 (EN) and in.touch 3 (CO) modules, including RF Strength, Firmware Version, and RF Channel.

  5. Locate the “RF Channel” field
The RF Channel number (for example, 30) appears below the RF Strength indicator.

  6. Tap the RF Channel number
A list of available channels will appear. Select a new channel number.

    • There are 50 available channels (typically ranging from 1–50).

    • Choose a channel at least 5–10 steps away from your Wi-Fi router’s frequency to avoid overlap.

  7. Confirm the change
After selecting the new channel, the modules will automatically re-sync.
Wait a few moments for both EN and CO modules to reconnect.

Tips & related info

  • Signal strength indicator:

    • Excellent = ideal connection

    • Good = normal operation

    • Weak = may need to change RF channel or move modules closer

  • You can monitor RF Strength directly in the same Devices screen to confirm improved communication.

  • Changing the channel does not erase any settings or pairing information.

  • If the modules fail to reconnect, reboot both the EN and CO modules and try again.
