Understanding Watercare modes

Overview

The Watercare section in the Gecko App lets you manage your spa’s heating and filtration schedules using predefined modes. Each Watercare mode automatically controls when your spa heats and filters the water to balance comfort, energy savings, and maintenance.

You can choose the mode that best matches your spa usage or customize one to fit your routine.

How to access Watercare modes

  1. Open the side menu ☰ and select Settings.

  2. Tap Watercare to see all available modes.

  3. Select a mode to view or customize its Economy and Filter Cycle schedules.

💡 Each Watercare mode can be personalized, you can edit or create new filtration and heating times under each one.

Standard

Everyday use

Keeps the spa ready at your set temperature 24/7, with regular filtration cycles for clear water.

Away from Home

Vacations or long absences

The spa will always be in economy mode; the set point will be reduced by 20° F.

Energy Savings

Light weekday use

The spa will be in economy mode during the peak hours of the day and resume normal mode on the weekend.

Super Energy Savings

Balanced daily energy use

The spa will always be in economy mode during peak hours, every day of the week

Weekender

Occasional weekend use

The spa will be in economy mode from Monday to Friday, and will run normally on the weekend.

⚙️ You can select only one active mode at a time.
Switching modes automatically applies its preset heating and filtration schedules.

Tips & related info

  • You can edit or customize any Watercare mode to match your schedule.

  • To view or adjust the details, tap the ✏️ (pen) icon beside the mode name.

  • Both Economy and Filter Cycle tabs inside a mode let you add, edit, or delete schedules.

💡 Tip: If you prefer full manual control, select Standard mode and disable or shorten filtration schedules as desired.

Common questions

  • Can I create my own Watercare mode?

    • No, but you can fully customize the preset modes to match your personal schedule.

  • Does switching Watercare modes delete my custom schedules?

    • No. Your changes are saved in each mode separately. You can switch between modes at any time without losing your settings.
