How to change your Watercare mode

Overview

Your Watercare mode determines how your spa manages heating and filtration schedules.
Changing the mode allows you to switch between different energy and usage profiles, like Standard for daily use or Away from home for energy saving while you’re away.

You can change your active mode anytime directly in the Gecko App.

How to change Watercare mode

  1. Open the side menu ☰ and select Settings.

  2. Tap Watercare to view the list of available modes.

  3. Review the list, you’ll see options such as Standard, Weekender, Energy Savings, and more.

  4. Tap the circle next to the mode you want to activate.

  5. The selected mode will now be highlighted and become your active Watercare mode.

💡 You can only have one Watercare mode active at a time. Switching modes automatically applies its corresponding Economy and Filtration schedules.

What happens when you switch modes

  • The spa immediately begins following the heating and filtration cycles defined by the selected mode.

  • If you’ve previously customized that mode, your saved schedule will remain active.

  • You can switch back to another mode anytime, your custom settings for each mode are saved independently.

Tips & related info

  • Choose Standard mode if you want your spa to stay ready and heated at all times.

  • Use Away from home mode to save energy when you’re not using the spa for several days.

  • To view or edit the heating and filtration details of each mode, tap the ✏️ (pen) icon beside it.

💡 Tip: You can customize every Watercare mode. Changing its start time, duration, and frequency without affecting other modes.

Common questions

  • Will I lose my custom schedules if I change modes?

    • No. Each Watercare mode keeps its own saved settings. When you switch back, your custom schedules for that mode will still be there.

  • Can I create my own Watercare mode?

    • No, but you can edit any of the existing modes to make them fit your personal schedule.
