Water and waterlab

The app keeps asking for a water report

Last updated About 3 hours ago

You might see this as

  • "I just entered a water report and it still says one is needed"

  • "My app wants a water report every day"

  • "I keep getting a notification that an action needs attention"

  • "I don't have a probe, how do I clear this alert?"

  • "I entered a wrong value, how do I delete it?"

Quick answer

The Gecko app reminds you to test your water so it can keep your water care steps up to date. A Gecko waterlab measures pH and sanitizer on its own, but the app still asks for a manual test now and then for the readings the probe doesn't measure. You can clear the reminder yourself.

What to try

The reminder is still there right after a test

The test wasn't saved, or a reading is still out of range

Open Water and check that your latest test shows today's date. If a reading is still out of range, see Why a water reading still appears out of range after completing an action.

A reminder or notification you want gone

A water care reminder

Open the reminder and tap Snooze, or run a new test. The reminder clears once a test is saved.

A sensor or probe alert, but you don't have a Gecko waterlab

The app expects a probe that isn't there

A wrong value in a water test, or a refill you didn't do

The entry is saved in your history

Entries and refills can't be deleted or undone. Run a new test: the app always works from your latest one.
