I purchased a used spa or a used in.touch 3 unit

Overview

If you’ve bought a used spa or a second-hand in.touch 3 unit, you may need to reset it and ensure the previous owner has released it from their account. This prevents ownership conflicts and allows you to set it up as your own spa in the Gecko app.

What to do

1. Make sure the previous owner removed the spa from their account

The in.touch 3 system can only be paired to one account at a time.

  • If the previous owner did not delete the spa from their Gecko app, the setup process will fail.

  • Ask them to delete the spa from their account before you proceed.

⚠️ Notice: If you cannot reach the previous owner, contact Gecko Support. We may be able to assist depending on the situation.

2. Perform a factory reset on the spa

A factory reset clears old pairing information and prepares the spa for a fresh setup.

How to factory reset the in.touch 3 EN (Home) module

After the reset:

  • The in.touch Home module will show a green LED, meaning it is ready for pairing.

  • You can now set it up like a brand-new device.

💡 Tip: If you also bought a used in.touch 3 Home module separately, resetting it is just as important to ensure a clean start.

3. Set up your spa as a new installation

Open the Gecko app and follow the steps for adding a new spa.
The app will guide you through connecting your in.touch Home module to your Wi-Fi network and pairing it with your account.

If setup fails due to account ownership

If you see an error like “This device belongs to another account”, it means the previous owner has not fully released the spa or in.touch 3 unit.

👉 Ask them to delete it from their app or Contact Gecko Support for assistance
