How to change volume and dosing units

Overview

You can customize how the Gecko App displays your spa’s water volume and dosing units.
Changing these settings allows the app to show water measurements and chemical dosing recommendations in the units you’re most comfortable with.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Gecko App
    Launch the app on your smartphone or tablet.

  2. Tap the Menu icon (☰)
    Located in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Go to Account Settings
    From the list, select Account Settings to access your profile and preferences.

  4. Scroll to the Preferred Units section
    You’ll see your current unit preferences for water volume, temperature, and dosing.

  5. Tap Edit

  6. Choose your preferred units

    • For water volume, select between:

      • Gallons (US)

      • Liters (Metric)

    • For dosing units (used by the water care recommendation engine), select from:

      • US (½ fluid ounce tablespoons)

      • Metric (15 mL tablespoons)

      • Australian Metric (20 mL tablespoons)

  7. Tap OK to confirm
    Your selected units will now be applied throughout the app.

  • The dosing unit you choose affects how product recommendations are displayed in the actions.

  • You can change these settings at any time, they take effect immediately.
