Connection issue with eero Wi-Fi systems

Last updated 2 months ago

Overview

Some users with eero Wi-Fi systems may experience connection issues with the in.touch 3 Home module. This is caused by certain eero settings that can interfere with how your module communicates over the network.

Follow the steps below to temporarily adjust your eero settings and restore connection.

Steps to fix the issue

  1. Open the eero app on your mobile device.

  2. From the home dashboard, tap Security & Privacy.

  3. Tap Network Controls.

  4. Disable Advanced Security.

  5. Go back to the previous menu and tap Eero Internet Backup.

  6. Disable Eero Internet Backup.

  7. Power cycle your in.touch 3 Home module:

    • Unplug the module from power.

    • Wait about 10 seconds.

    • Plug it back in.

    • Allow up to 2 minutes for reconnection.

⚠️ Notice: Power cycling is required after changing eero settings. This ensures the in.touch 3 Home module reconnects under the updated network conditions.

After the connection

Once your in.touch system is connected:

  • Wait up to 24 hours
This allows time for the firmware on both the Home and Spa modules to fully update. These updates ensure stable communication on your network.

💡 Tip: You can continue using your spa normally while updates complete in the background.

Re-enabling eero features

After the firmware updates are complete:

  • Verify their version through the devices section in settings.

    • in.touch 3 Home (EN) firmware version should be at least 1.6.9

  • Re-enable Advanced Security and Eero Internet Backup in the eero app.

  • Your in.touch 3 system will continue to work normally with these features turned back on.
