Once your water is balanced, keeping it that way is easy. It comes down to a light rhythm of quick checks, most of which take only a minute. This guide gives you a simple routine to follow, and the Gecko App does the remembering for you by highlighting what is due and sending reminders when something needs attention.

You do not need to do everything every day. Here is a rhythm that keeps your water clear with almost no effort.

A few times a week

Check your sanitizer, especially after the spa has been used a lot. Chlorine and bromine get used up as they keep the water clean, so this is the reading that moves the most.

If anything looks off, open the app and follow the action it suggests.

Once a week

Run a quick water test and check your pH. With your alkalinity stable, pH is usually an easy, small adjustment.

Give the spa a quick look while you are there. Clear water and no odd smell is exactly what you want. If you notice anything, a test will tell you what is going on.

Once a month

Test the slower moving readings like alkalinity and hardness. These change gradually, so they only need occasional attention.

Every few months

A few habits that make it even easier
