How to cancel your Gecko Premium subscription

Last updated 4 months ago

Overview

If you no longer wish to use Gecko Premium, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
All subscriptions are managed securely through Stripe, Gecko’s payment provider. After cancellation, you’ll continue to enjoy Premium benefits until the end of your current billing period.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Gecko App
Launch the app on your smartphone or tablet.

  2. Tap the Menu icon (☰)
Located in the top-left corner of the screen.

  3. Go to Settings → General
From the list, select Settings, then tap General.

  4. Find the Subscription section
Scroll down until you see your Subscription card.
This section displays your plan (Free or Premium) and its current status (Active, Trialing, or Cancelled).

  5. Tap the Manage button
Tap MANAGE to open the Stripe Dashboard in your browser.

  6. Cancel your subscription in Stripe
In the Stripe portal, you can:

    • View your billing details and next renewal date.

    • Click Cancel Subscription to stop automatic renewals.

    • Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

💡 You’ll still have Premium access until the end of your current billing cycle.

  7. Return to the app
Once you’ve completed the cancellation, the Subscription card in the app will update to show Subscription Cancelled, along with the end date.

What happens after cancellation

  • You’ll retain Premium access until the displayed end date.

  • After that, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan, keeping basic app features such as temperature, lighting, and pump control.

  • You can resubscribe to Premium at any time by going back to Settings → General → Subscription.

Tips & related info

  • If you have multiple spas, each one requires its own Premium plan — cancelling one does not affect others.

  • Stripe will send you a confirmation email after cancellation.

  • To update your payment method instead of cancelling, use the same Manage button and edit your billing information in Stripe.
